Thornbridge Hall is where the Thornbridge brewing story began. A grade II listed building situated in Ashford in the Water, Derbyshire. The original Thornbridge Brewery was based in a converted joiner’s and stonemason’s workshop within the grounds of Thornbridge Hall. The brewery was relocated in early 2021 to Thornbridge Brewery’s Riverside site.
Thornbridge Hall is surrounded by 12 acres of quirky and quintessentially English gardens, set in the heart of the Peak District National Park. They were designed at the end of the 19th Century to create a vision of ‘1,000 shades of green’ which the owner wanted to be able to see from his bedroom window.
The gardens of Thornbridge Hall and Quackers Cafe are open to the public 7 days a week from 10-4.
About The Arty Party
The Arty Party is a boutique festival which will be held over the weekend 24th – 25th September 2022, celebrating art, music, poetry, literature and everything cultural within the unique setting of fabulous Thornbridge Hall in the Peak District National Park.
The theme of the two day event is ‘Never Ordinary’ and we already have on board the poet Murray Lachlan Young, Toung Satchi artis Conor Rogers, artist Tim Villiers, Berlin music producer Mark Reeder talking to writer John Robb author Abigail Dean, Britain’s number one art forger Max Brandrett, artist Conor Rogers, photographer Peter Dench with more to come.
Tickets are limited to 200 and the event will be held in the hall itself where guests will be allowed to wander freely through many of its rooms and its beautiful gardens.
The weekend will consist of live performances, artists in residence making a site specific artwork, an eclectic mix of artists in conversation, a light lunch and supper (included in the ticket price), drinks and lots of fun.
